Casino business is good. People will so easily bring money just to lose it. This is possibly the easiest money I have ever made. There is not a day where we haven't made thousands. The profit is amazing. We also haven't seen Ronald McDonald come in. He must be amusing himself with his happy meal elsewhere.

This weekend the casino will finally be open. All the arrangements have been made and it should be a very eventful evening. The drinks will be flowing from the open bars, but be prepared to spend some money. Casinos are not cheap. Thanks to Ronald McDonald on crack, this opening was delayed but we are ready to get the party started.

If anyone is interested out there, there will be a memorial service for Hugo Reyes on Saturday morning at that church on the corner. It is at 10am. I'm sure that no one else cares that he was killed in that explosion thanks to a clown. Oh so sorry, I meant Joker. I don't really care who. I got your Ace of Spades, bitch. I don't play with jokers.

The damage isn't too bad but I am not beyond blowing holes in the ones who damaged the new casino. The repairs will take two weeks. All new employees will be contacted regarding the new details.

The opening has to be delayed for two weeks to repair the damage to the building caused by the idiots that caused the explosions. I wonder if they know that I am quite a good shot with a rifle. I am getting a crew on the repairs.

My first legitimate business and I'm nervous. I shouldn't be.

I think we can safely say that the new casino will be opening on Halloween. I do believe that it is perfect for this particular crowd. Get your money together so you can lose it. It is sure to be an event seeing that it is my first legitimate business.

So some boy from the Bayou is opening a casino. It looks like there will be the two of them since ours opens first. We offer the full scale service including slot machines, card tables, craps tables, roulette, and many other games. I know how to gamble and this will pay off.

Freckles, I am taking Hurley out. We have some things to discuss. We also need to settle on a location of the new business venture later. We do have money.

Kate and I are thinking of opening a casino. Now that is something I had never considered but it is the perfect idea. Lots of people with a lot of money to lose and it's all legal. It really is a brilliant idea since we haven't really had jobs since - nevermind, I don't remember anyway. Has anyone seen any sizable property for sale?

Does anyone know if there is access to whatever funding we had back in our other world? That sounds wrong.

Do you remember the stories about the Dharma project? Think about it and then think about how we ended up here. You don't think there are similarities, do you?

There are people here from everywhere but only Kate and I from hell. It's interesting but I am constantly looking around the corner still. It's a different lifestyle, almost normal, whatever that is. I'm not sure I have ever lived normally. This will be the first time.

I can say this about normal though - I am bored, with noted exception in the form of a beautiful woman.

What is there to do for excitement around here?

This makes no sense to me. I woke up this morning and this book was lying by my nightstand. This is not the island. Kate was with me but now I am alone in some apartment with people I don't know. It was almost as if the past months have not happened at all. There was no crash, no island, no others - it can't be a dream.

Could the Others create this scheme? I suppose it is possible considering the other things they have done. They have conned me better than job I have pulled. Maybe this is their solution to keeping us here.
